A quaint, bustling rural community at the western boundary of the City of Ottawa, the Village of Carp is one of the fastest-growing areas in the National Capital Region.

As its population and business community expanded, the Carp Business Improvement Area (BIA) partnered with Syntax to develop a cohesive brand and marketing strategy that would refine its local identity, strengthen local pride, and attract visitors to experience the village’s hospitality and history.

Our team developed a clear and unified brand for the village, including a new logo reflecting Carp’s heritage and charm that has since become a widely recognized symbol for the community. Building on this solid foundation, we developed and launched a seasonal magazine-style newsletter highlighting local businesses, designed a detailed business map, and produced a popular visitor’s guide, all of which positioned Carp as both a desirable place to live and an engaging day-trip destination.

The Village of Carp’s new visual identity celebrates its unique character, solidifies local pride, and highlights the community’s growing role as a vibrant destination within the Ottawa region.
